Development Goal
To transform an auto-centric shopping magnet into a vibrant, live-able, more pedestrian friendly neighborhood where people can leave their cars behind. Including entertainment, housing, public art, walking paths and nearly 3 acres of green space around the new waterway.
Project
A 6-acre Mixed-use development which will contain approximately 50,000 square feet of retail space, a 14 screen cinema, 109 condominiums and 278 market rate apartments all constructed over an estimated 850 parking spaces.
Located off Interstate 5 just south of Northgate mall. The project is bordered by N.E. 103rd St, N.E. 100th St. and 5th Ave. N.E.
Construction will start May 2007 and is scheduled to be complete by summer 2009.
The retail component will be anchored by a 14-screen cinema as well as restaurants and resident services.
The condominiums will feature studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom floor plans. Many floor plans will face the new water channel with easy access to the newly revitalized green space. Sales are tentatively scheduled to begin in early 2008.
The apartments will include studio, one bedroom and two bedroom and loft style floor plans, all situated above ground floor retail. Pre-leasing will begin Spring 2009.
Era Living has purchased an acre of the site and will be developing 127 rental apartments for adults 62 years and older on the southeast corner parcel.
